Mohammad Usman is a Policy Analyst and Mellon-ACLS Public Fellow focused on Social Determinants of Health. He is responsible for demonstrating the vital impact that Settlement Houses have on improving the health of individuals and families throughout New York City.
Prior to UNH, Mohammad completed his doctoral research on the housing pathways of undocumented West African migrants in New York. Mohammad also served as a Special Assistant at the City University of New York School of Law prior to his graduate studies, where his work focused on issues related to access to justice and housing. Mohammad completed his Ph.D. in Land Economy as a Gates Scholar from the University of Cambridge.
