The Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) is a non-profit organization that empowers new immigrants with the tools they need to successfully acclimate into the world around them and become active participants in their community.  Established in 1994, AAFSC addresses the unique needs of the Arab American community through a variety of programs, services and activities, including: English as a Second Language and literacy classes; citizenship courses; legal assistance; after-school, summer and weekend programs for children; violence prevention and intervention programs; and access to free or low-cost health care.  In addition to these social services, AAFSC promotes a stronger and more united Arab American community and provides a strong voice for immigrants in city affairs.
