The Teen Center Coordinator is a new position created to coordinate RNH Teen Center programming on our main campus @ 5521 Mosholu Avenue. The Teen Center Coordinator will be responsible for implementing dynamic Teen programming with an emphasis on increased engagement, and program partnership development that promote opportunities for teens. This position will specifically focus on developing a variety of social and recreational activities designed to meet the interests and needs of middle and high school age teens and connecting them to RNH resources and spaces. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong collaboration, an eye for details and an enthusiasm for forging relationships internally and with community partners. A “can do” attitude is essential and there are growth opportunities within the program and/or organization.


  • Help design and implement program activities and programming for Teen Center around funded initiatives, such as Film Festival, Teen Nights, etc.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, productive, and encouraging environment for participants, their families, and members of the community; ensure all youth feel welcome and engaged in activities
  • Implement communications/outreach plan for Teen Center to recruit participants for programs and internships
  • Ensuring timely registration and documentation of all participants in compliance with funding requirements
  • Generate program reports and updates for funders and leadership; ensure program milestones and metrics are met
  • Maintain member registration, enrollment records and student files
  • Communicate with parents on issues, concerns, and questions regarding teen members
  • Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts on behalf of programs as requested
  • Collaborate with RNH program directors across organization; be an active participant in Managers Monthly Meeting
  • Assist in the management of program budget with focus on activities line item


  • Minimum 3 years of program coordination on work experience with teen population or relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma / GED / HSE required, Associates degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high-level of attention to detail and ability to support multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a team player, able to work independently and operate with a deep sense of personal responsibility
  • Available evenings and/or weekends according to program needs
  • Ability to work sensitively with diverse community; politically and culturally savvy
  • Confident, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience with database systems and assessment tools to track the impact of activities
  • Motivational team player, creative thinker with a sense of humor and ability to work in changing environment
  • Must have a sense of humor and a passion for youth development
  • Successful Background check and State Central Registry clearances required
  • Ability to lift 20lbs
  • COVID-19 Vaccination

WORK SCHEDULE: FT/35-hour per week Tuesday through Saturday. Monday to Friday 1pm to 9pm and Saturdays 10am to 6pm. Hours will change based on engagement levels of participants and program needs.
