Staff Scholarships and Professional DevelopmentStaff who have worked at UNH member agencies for at least one year may apply for UNH scholarships for higher education. Grants for professional development activities are also awarded to emerging leaders of member organizations through the Emily Menlo Marks Leadership Development Fund, named in honor of UNH's former Executive Director, and the Award for Achievement in Civic Advocacy, made possible by a bequest from Julius C. C. Edelstein. Scholarships for youth leaders from member agencies are also made possible by The Allan Morrow Scholarship Program. The UNH Professional Development Program, supported by the Altman Foundation and other funders, makes it possible for middle managers and other senior staff to attend a customized professional development program at Columbia Business School's Institute for Not-for-Profit Management.
