Harbor Camp

UNH has been partnering with the Waterfront Alliance for Harbor Camp since 2008. Harbor Camp provides a meaningful water-based summer camp experience to hundreds of children in the New York – New Jersey metropolitan area. In 2014, among 16 participating UNH member agencies, 86 trips were organized and 2,874 children participated.

Harbor Camp’s goal is to provide ecological, environmental, maritime, and/or historical education alongside fun and entertainment, and to cultivate stewardship in its participants. It encourages interest in protecting and preserving natural resources and instills a sense of the history of the New York region.
