Hamilton-Madison House (HMH) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the Two Bridges/Chinatown area on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Hamilton-Madison House offers a variety of human service social programs. Each week, Hamilton-Madison House provides services to 1,700 people of all ages and to more than 10,000 people annually.

Hartley House, founded in 1897, is a settlement house and a community center that provides essential human services and sponsors activities to improve the quality of life and strengthen a sense of community in Hell's Kitchen/Clinton. We welcome people of all races, ages, religions, and ethnic backgrounds. Our activities include: Family Day Care, the After School Program, the Pied Piper Summer Day Camp, Youth Sports Programs, the Alternative High School, Volunteer Tutoring, English as a Second Language, GED Preparation Classes, Citizenship Classes, Creative Arts Programs, Social Work Services, the Friendly Visiting Program, Senior Activities, Home Outreach Program for Elders, and community outreach services.

Over a century of accomplishment has built a deeply personal and strong relationship between Hartley House and the community it serves. Hartley House is proud to enter its second century of service to the children, teens, adults, seniors, and families of the Clinton community in the heart of New York City.
