Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York’s premier nonprofit organizations, is a 117-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated human services—social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness—which significantly improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year, ages 3 to 103, on the East Side of Manhattan.

Established in 1891 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, East Side House Settlement has served residents of the South Bronx since 1963.
Operating from 17 locations, East Side House helps 8,000 individuals improve their lives each year by providing access to quality education and technology training as gateways out of poverty. The continuum of high-performing programs includes early childhood and after-school programs, adult education, computer technology programs, family services, and senior services.
In addition, East Side House has six programs that focus on high school graduation and college preparation: Youth and Adult Education Services for students earning their GED, and five high school programs in partnership with the New York City Department of Education: Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School, Bronx Haven High School, the Smith Campus Young Adult Borough Center, the High School for Excellence and Innovation, and New Explorers High School.
