BronxWorks is hiring a Coordinator in the Positive Living Department for its Harm Reduction Program.

 

Positive Living serves people living with HIV/AIDS and struggling with issues related to substance use.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise three substance use counselors.
  • Track program progress towards goals for the performance-based contract.
  • Prepares monthly performance reports to the program funder. 
  • Provide clinical supervision to the counselors and offer some direct services with a focus on clients with mental health issues. 
  • Manage client intakes, assessments, service plans, groups and individual counseling.
  • Create record of client services in e-SHARE documentation system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree in social work and LMSW certification required, LCSW preferred. 
  • CASAC certification preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year of experience in services such as assessment, intake, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, reporting and record keeping. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. 
  • Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
