Child Care Center Development Fund

The UNH Child Care Center Development Fund (CCCDF) helps settlement houses start or expand center-based child care facilities. CCCDF provides technical assistance in determining the feasibility of child care center projects, in project planning, in accessing construction and long-term financing, and in applying for state and city grants. It also provides grants for pre-development costs to help the settlement houses put together the detailed project plans that are necessary to obtain other funding. Settlements may use the grants for the following services and activities:

  • Feasibility Studies
  • Project Managers
  • Architectural Services
  • Legal Services
  • Preliminary Construction Plans
  • Other costs including environmental reports, permit and licensing fees.

CCDF also advocates for increased public funding for child care facilities and for improvements in the system for facilities development.

For further information, please contact CCCDF Director Charles P. Wang at (212) 967-1763, ext. 340 or cwang@unhny.org.
